My reasoning is that Art Blocks had a lot of influence. If it had been open like Fxhash, I think some of the successes would have been the same but many others would have had the opportunity to be seen on Ethereum, so the results would be “quite different”.

Yes, Same for me. My thoughts are similar. Having an early and lucky success gives you a lot of avantage to succeed later : you're more famous, you have money to be 100% on it, people will invest on you...
