this is really funny but i do think there’s a fundamental misunderstanding between those who hold web3 values higher than execution values. 

both are important, but just think about how different the DeFi revolution would have been if Uniswap had not open sourced the V2 frontend. DeFi likely would have moved a lot slower. 

good or bad, it’s important to recognize the value difference here and to see the irony of claiming web3 values while executing under web2 values. 

i personally hold no judgement for those executing under web2 values, but if you do that, you might as well be open about it.

i think your explanation needs to be seen by a lot of people here, maybe it’ll help breakdown what it is the devs are trying to say, because reading the cast that phil replied to annoyed me a bit (i wonder how the others would feel) because it’s not entitlement, no one is feeling entitled to anything but the fact that farcaster/warpcast is supposed to be decentralised or better yet is being projected as being decentralised and it still comes short of acting/working as projected is one of the main factor that’s annoying some of the devs on here (among other things)

1) but only 1 Hub software and no incentive to run them, Google "what is client diversity" then get back to me

2) but one megafunded official majority client that doesn't fully share critical features like channel creation, DMs, closed source Shuttle

3) you introduced longcasts with less than 24h notice, you're turning channels upside down, and also any private non-proto features from #2 that you push should count against the "stable protocol" argument too, as all competing clients must match them and keep up to stand any chance of actually replacing warpcast as anyone's primary client

4) nobody is dumb enough to try to compete with you in your own billion dollar sandbox where you are judge and jury, why do you keep pretending this is viable?

got any examples of you interacting in good faith with critics from your community? general vibe is widely agreed that you do not. these replies certainly do not count.
