Found myself rather confused about the state of "consumer crypto" today. The hype around friend.tech made it sound like they their onboarding experience was light-years ahead of anything we've seen before, but⦠it really feels like more of the same to me.

Sure, Privy looks like a solid bit of tech β but I'm not sure its UX is much better than that of Magic, Web3Auth, etc Even with an embedded wallet, onramping is still a blocker. Two options were presented: transfer from another Base address or bridge from mainnet. Neither is novice-friendly. What am I missing?

Check out what the team at courtyard.io was able to stand up with Privy. Very web3 newcomer friendly deep on chain experience built on Privy. Lots of new tech like embedded wallets gas abstraction and L2s make this sort of experience possible. Some of the strongest web3 UX weβve seen!

Will check it out. BTW, I explored a few projects listed under "trusted by the most exciting projects in web3" on privy.io, but found it was hit and miss. Specifically, Async, Decent, and Molecule do not use Privy in their current versions.
