David Hirsch, head of the division responsible for protecting investors in the crypto market and from cyber threats, has left the US SEC. He worked at the Commission for almost nine years.

Hirsch did not give a reason for his departure, noting that he was proud of the "historic work" that the team under his leadership had accomplished.
