Montiano is one of the winery's flagship labels, born from Riccardo Cotarella's passion for Bordeaux varieties and in particular for Merlot. In the Montefiascone area, the vine has found soils of ancient volcanic origin rich in skeleton and beautiful exposures at about 300 meters above sea level, which allow the creation of wines of great elegance.
The vinification is in the most classic Bordeaux style, with fermentation and maceration on the skins for a dozen days and a maturation period of 12 months in new French oak barriques from Allier and Tronçais.
It is a complex and refined wine, with a dark red color and aromas of cherry, black cherry and blackberry, soft hints of vanilla, currant jam and nuances of sweet spices. The sip is enveloping, with silky tannins, a ripe fruit and a fresh finish.
To be paired with grilled meat, roast red meats. I would be happy to receive degen and recast 1 reply
