The Honda S2000 is a roadster-bodied sports car produced by Honda from 1999 to 2009. The concept car was first shown in 1995 at the Tokyo Motor Show. It was developed as a production model S2000. The launch of the production car was timed to coincide with Honda's 50th anniversary and continued the tradition of the S500, S600 and S800 roadsters. The name "S2000" emphasizes the engine displacement of two liters.
