From what I’ve seen in this space nobody cares about the code being shipped if they 1 don’t know it exists and 2 arent excited that it exists. I haven’t seen it be about shipping really. I’ve seen it be about marketing first and foremost.

If that’s your only edge you need to be ruthless about 1 ops to stay alive and 2 marketing to stay relevant. Beverages. Many brands come and go. How different are they really to buyers? But you can name a handful of brands. Coke BudLight Tito’s (I don’t drink but u get it)

Not always true ime. In previous teams ppl volunteered just bc they were really passionate and then we eventually hired them and they became the most important team members. But every case is different of course.
