The updated Amazon Alexa voice assistant will operate based on Anthropic's AI model Claude, according to media reports The new version of Alexa is scheduled for release in October. The company decided to use a third party AI provider due to issues with its own neural network, which took six to seven seconds to process and respond to requests. Claude proved to be more efficient than Amazon's own models.
