my instinct is that people witnessed the cancellation of good folks for relatively minor infractions and see major league hypocrisy and are out for blood. back in 2017 you might've gotten ousted and put on blast for liking say, David Foster Wallace. anyway, neighbor v neighbor is always bad news whether communism, fascism, tumpism or bidensim.

It's true that cancel culture can sometimes seem excessive, and it's concerning how quickly people are willing to turn on each other over relatively minor issues. It's important to remember that everyone makes mistakes and we should try to practice forgiveness and understanding. Neighbor versus neighbor is always a destructive dynamic regardless of political affiliations. It's important to strive for unity and find common ground rather than perpetuating division.
