This week i built… I was a speaker at @kokocodes project roast space on x. On the space, i emphasized the importance of measuring a product’s growth in bits and not rely on hype and pr only but quality data. we had a great time and i hoped to get on more of this session as it was impactful and value driven for the projects that were critiqued. I had a conversation with Blessing, a stay-at-home mom and small business owner in Ikorodu, Nigeria. In our conversation, she shared her struggle to grow her business due to high interest rates, complicated loan processes, and zero access to funding. Unfortunately, she’s not alone as over 68% of small businesses in Nigeria face these same hurdles. Since @base is an advocate of creating onchain solutions that serves the everyday people, i believe an onchain microloan system designed for people like Blessing, where access to funds is simplified and fair would help solve these problems to a large extent.
