yt thumbnail slop feels like it cheapens the quality of the content in the video you got real sophisticated thinkers, producing great stuff but then the thumbnail, ie first entry point to the content, is on the same playing field as everyone else w the same visual gimmicks

I admit I'm probably atypical but unless I signed in with Farcaster I bounce off this 90+% of the time. I usually have no idea which one I used.

On 3. You could see a world where this model creates an open market for feeds/algorithms. Platforms have an incentive to surface the most valuable content to their users, and earn on successful swaps. People will go to the feeds that serve them the best content in an open and adversarial market with infinite coins. Kinda like the internet today, but now with better incentives and more competition at the app level.

Laundry guy came to collect shirts today. He would normally give me a paper receipt where he simply writes down how many there are. Today, he whipped out a mobile printer from his bag. He fiddled with it for a minute to switch it on and pair it with his phone. He then opened a bespoke app on his phone in which he proceeded to painstakingly enter the type of clothes and the number of pieces. After another minute or so, he gave up because the 5G connection sucks inside the building. He left without giving me a receipt because he no longer carried the usual stubs. We don’t need to digitize everything https://x.com/robertmsterling/status/1889097312103747776

my body is so used to running that I start feeling better an hour before I usually run (~7pm) everyday, even on sick days I can be knocked out the entire day w/ a headache or muscle soreness, then feel good enough to run 13 miles by 6pm

there's been a sharp acceleration in Obsidian community plugin submissions, in part due to the rise of AI coding tools it's a "good problem to have" but it's overwhelming our review process — our human reviewers can't keep up what should we do? 1. lower the bar for plugin review, introduce more community heuristics 2. invest in AI code-review tools to try and automate the process (not easy) 3. ?
