An interesting phenomenon is currently occurring in the Ethereum ecosystem. Despite relatively low gas fees on Ethereum Mainnet (~6), Layer 2 networks are experiencing unusually high transaction costs. The surge in L2 transaction costs isn't following the typical pattern. Usually, high L2 fees result from either: - Elevated L2-specific gas fees - Spikes in L1 gas prices in general
