A brand new pickleball complex is opening near me in a few days (there are none now nearby). Deciding whether to become a member. But I've never played and have no one to play with, so I dunno. Excited it's Friday, but the next few days are not exactly going to be relaxing. They will be great but not relaxing. Hope all is well by you. What are you and @snaccoon up to for xmas? 500 $degen

Maybe they have some sort of trial membership where you can check it out. Have you played any other paddle or racket sports? Tennis, racquetball, pingpong etc? It will be a pretty easy transition if so. Hopefully the new club will have open play sessions by level. People come in of similar level, put their paddles in a rack, when there are four in a group and an open court they go play. The skill cap is pretty low and it can be a very social game. It certainly helps if you can find other beginners to start with. I hear you, it can be stressful to have the family in town. Sometimes the best part of family visiting is when they go home 😆 All is well in this part of the world. She and I are going to see my side of the family christmas eve and spend christmas day with her kids. 🍖x420
