Maybe with future updates we will find out that 8C/16T will work, if monad's logic is about threads not cores. Also don't forget to do your own research! (End)

Takeaway: If you dont know how many cores you need, now there is the answer: 16 normal cores. Why not 8 cores which are hyperthreaded? Because hyperthreading typically only gives around 20%-30% increase in performane (16C/16T > 8C/16T > 8C/8T). (this will continue)

... But here is the thing, a lot dedicated server computers use intel cores and have hyperthreading, so if the next part gets confirmed, one may be able to save a ton of money just by opting for a cheaper CPU. (this will continue)

Why does this matter? Well most Cloud machines actually run CPUs where each core has 1 thread, so if you are looking for that, you just go for 16 vCPUs. A lot of PCs have the same thing... (This will continue)

Huh? Pretty much when I googled etherum's docs, I found that Etherum needs a minimum of a quad-core (4 core) CPU **or** a dual-core (2 core) hyperthreaded CPU. What does that mean? Well a non hyperthreaded CPU is just a CPU where each core has 2 threads instead of 1. (this will continue further)

Through Googling myself, I think I found the answer for the hardware specs: In the website Docs, it is listed that Etherum minimum reqs is a 4 Core CPU etc etc and for Monad it is 16 Core... (check the comments for following text) /monad
