Well, you definitely could have. That’s really impressive. You’ve got some serious natural talent and that hard work/consistency on top of it is yielding results. Do you have a goal race?

hmm I want to do 2:39 in a marathon this year; not even close to it, but very long term, OTQ-ing would be epic

That would be quite an accomplishment. I’d say you’re well on your way. What shoes do you race and train in?

I did like 95% of my mileage in nike pegasus 39-41s, but been trying some hokas. I think I like their mach 6s, but need to test more racing shoes I've only tried vapor/alphaflys, and I think I like the vaporflys more (they feel faster)

Hokas were a game changer for me after being injured often trying the minimalist thing. But I gave up on them about 5 or 6 years ago when they stopped innovating with their foam and carbon and everyone else was advancing. Maybe I need to try them out again. Vaporflys are nice and fast, but the durability is horrible and they feel fairly unstable around corners for me. I’ve settled into the Saucony Endorphin Pro as a “do everything” shoe. Fast, comfy, stable and I get like 500 miles out of them.
