There is a piano piece called "Vexations" by Erik Satie, where the page below should be played 840 times TIL the first full public performance in 1963 lasted 18+ hours with 14 pianists; it had a $5 admission fee, and patrons received a 5¢ refund for each 20 minutes they watched

I thought the refund mechanism was interesting: > "In this way", he told Lloyd, "People will understand that the more art you consume, the less it should cost." One person, an actor with The Living Theatre, Karl Schenzer, was present for the entire performance.
