For some time I wanted to start, beside the fictitious Storyteller Bodhilama, a new series of educational blog-esque Newsletters about spirituality, SolarPunk & nomadic lifestyle.

What I experienced on a Vipassana retreat was different from what I expected. An idea in my head emerged, that this story could become the first one of this series.

It is a story about breaking resistance, a journey from seriousness to delight, a game about my values & priorities, a spiritual journey seeking truth.

Right now, it is the very first Draft.

I’m thinking about bringing back my “museletter” format that I wrote several years ago.

1. What’s a museletter? Each week you share what you’ve been thinking about. It’s a simple roundup of some observations and notes from the past several days. There’s no pressure to synthesize or do much formatting before publishing. Ideally you’ve already done some “thinking in public” during the week and can simply reference yourself.

2. Why bring it back? I love the consistency that @firstdraftclub has given me (31 consecutive weeks of writing something in /firstdraft) but I don't feel like I'm developing my ideas as much as I'd like. FDC is merely a "minimum viable writing habit" (h/t @sonyasupposedly). I have tons of ideas that get stuck somewhere between a cast and a full post, and I want a forcing function to push them out into the world. A weekly museletter is the next level of commitment that can be a reliable habit.

The Unwritten Rules of Farcaster (a thread 1/11)


1.	Don’t ask for follows—most users ignore or avoid those who do.
2.	Engagement matters—treat it as a social network, not just a broadcasting platform.
3.	The algorithm prioritizes engagement—interact with content you like to train your feed.
4.	Give likes freely to support content you enjoy.
5.	Reply thoughtfully—generic responses don’t add value and may be ignored.
6.	Tag people with purpose—avoid tagging non-followers without a good reason.
7.	Use channels to connect—they’re a safe space for engaging beyond your followers.
8.	If you’re being ignored, check your spam label—many won’t see your replies if you’re at Level 0 or 1.
9.	Rules are looser with friends—banter freely, but remember relationships take time to build.
10.	Farcaster is a unique, close-knit community—engage authentically, be patient, and you’ll find your place.

A Salute to Noun O'Clock Live (my /firstdraft )

Tonight is the 1,000th *straight* & final show. Many won't know Noun O'Clock Live, but if you've come across @zerorightsmedia w/ @toadyhawk.eth & @jackwyldes.eth that was born out of Noun O'Clock LIve--a daily show for all things /nouns 

I was there in the beginning as a daily listener. NOC Live helped me make Nouns my first home in web3. They were fun & informative, dedicated to helping people like me learn how a DAO could steward 10s of millions of dollars to promote a brand & do good in the world. 

On 8/8/22, they did a 24 hr show for the 1st Anniversary of Nouns. I was one of their guests because I had just joined Nouncil (Nounish Council) & had won my first prophouse. That show regularly comes into my mind. I have art on my wall from it (s/o @messhup ). I can't tell my web3 story w/o talking a lot about The NounSquare & NOC Live.

sunday again and some more thoughts

very often some decision or idea comes at the moment when you yourself are experiencing it

Embracing -1 to 0

I first began thinking about this from a @benersing prompt on making the jump to entrepreneurship. Came up again recently in a conversation with @serendipity 

The journey from -1 to 1 is almost framed from the need to run away from the job or career you're in at the time. I got to see it first hand with my dad dropping his lucrative semiconductor job to pursue a startup in biotech. I don't think it needs to be this way

After getting laid off, jumping into a 0 -> 1 grind was tempting. I've accepted that I'm still exploring. I'm falling back in love with my AI work. There's still so much fun I can have getting paid to just focus on building these systems and agents out before going out on my own. For now I'm making the most of learning and finding my path

At the end of the day you've won once you've found your path.. just enjoy it a little bit
