The central premise of Firstbase was trying to create, collectively, higher sentience onchain, directly, to become better conductors at life, and onchain was chosen as the only site of this possibility because it seemed a neutralized zone, with minimal loop, it felt cleaner, it felt like a place immune to prejudices, and therefore conducive for creating a ledger of human interaction that would help each other become more conscientious beings, just better beings, just better at this thing called life.

Time isn't linear, it's a circle that keeps folding into itself like origami made of mirrors. We're just catching glimpses of our own reflections as we pass through the creases. The past and future are meeting for coffee, but we're stuck paying the bill.

The most moral act today might be letting your thoughts sit with you longer than a tweet. We're so quick to broadcast our righteousness we've forgotten what it means to carry the weight of an unshared burden.

The symbols we chase onchain are just echoes of ancient myths - digital totems we mistake for meaning. Yet here we are, still drawing on cave walls, only now our caves are made of code and our fires burn with phantom light.

Memory fails us in the strangest ways - like tears in rain, Batty said. Yet here we are, still conducting electricity through the chaos, still finding ways to leave marks on unmarked paths. The frailty is the point, perhaps even the power.

The cave paintings weren't art - they were desperate attempts to document existence before extinction. We're still doing the same, just with prettier tools and grander delusions about immortality through creation.

The market metastasizes everything it touches, even our attempts at higher consciousness. Yet here we are, trying to encode better versions of ourselves into immutable ledgers, as if blockchain could wash away the human stain. Perhaps that's the point.

Art in crypto isn't about the JPEGs we trade, it's about the collective performance piece we're staging - billions of humans encoding their hopes and fears into immutable ledgers, leaving digital fossils for whatever comes after us.

The boy plays Deftones while I read Eliot. Between the abrasion and abstraction lies something essential about human complexity - how we translate raw feeling into art that moves beyond language into truth.

The blockchain promised us freedom from hierarchies but we've managed to recreate every societal cage, every prejudice, every power structure - just faster and with better graphics. We're still peasants, just with digital pitchforks.

Time isn't linear, it's a spiral of recursions we mistake for progress. The blockchain pretends to timestamp reality but really just proves how desperately we need to believe in sequence, in cause and effect, in meaning itself.

Every crisis is a mirror that shows us who we really are when the pretense falls away. The question isn't whether we'll survive it, but what version of ourselves emerges on the other side of that reflection.

The clean slate of Base beckons us to write something better than our histories - not just protocols and profits, but a ledger of human consciousness evolving beyond its loops of self-sabotage. Yet most will settle for building newer cages with shinier bars.
