there are GC's, where your messages carry an expectation of privacy to a closed group.

I am building /p2p which is public casting protected by cryptography + FC primitives. Anyone can see, but only those with permission can decode. And if you care about decentralization, the data is open, transparent, portable, unruggable, etc.
