my takeaway: for bitcoin l2s to become reality, the following things need to become true...

- maximum a handful of them exist
- a huge amount of (current) activity happens on them
- big advancements in data compression will be made

otherwise, bitcoins blocksize and therefore blockspace-costs are way too prohibitive.

in general, I am pretty bullish about the idea of leveraging bitcoin to secure l2s, but seems like it will be way more difficult to execute than I initially thought.
