Ok why did channels become oddly confusing? 

So I can follow a channel or I can favorite a channel but I can only post to a channel if I’m a member of a channel. And I can’t figure out how to become a member of a channel.

Known for the everywhere.computer (/ec), /unglish (unglish.co.uk), the /secure-design WG, WalletUncon, Causal Islands + drumming in all-genre power trios.

I wonder if this fragments or diminishes the community that’s been built up to this point. Payment is also interesting considering there’s no cost for upkeep (I think) (like hosting on Mastodon for instance), so I’m guessing it’s a way to further filter the riffraff?

Short term confusion for long term gain. Many channels (mine, for example) haven’t switched over moderation.

Many will auto grant access through frames, some will require forms of payment.

The team is targeting onboarding to farcaster directly into channels. Looking forward to watching how it goes.
