For most of my family, even my parents, it's weird to visit some cities. Like, why go, fly somewhere, don't you have anything else to do? Why don't you sit at home? They themselves do not stick their noses out of the city, even in other neighborhoods do not visit. For them the norm is to just live and not to entertain themselves with anything, some drink and they don't care who/what and where, as long as there is a bottle on the table....
