The museum’s collection includes over 125,000 items, such as paintings, furniture, documents, and historical objects that depict Brazil in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a special focus on the independence and history of São Paulo. Well I would like to begin my posts in this channel with an architecture symbol of my city, the Ipiranga Museum! The Ipiranga Museum, officially known as the Paulista Museum, is one of the most important historical museums in Brazil. Located in the Ipiranga neighborhood of São Paulo, it was inaugurated in 1895 and is situated near the site where D. Pedro I proclaimed Brazil’s independence in 1822. The museum building, with its impressive architecture inspired by European Renaissance palaces, is one of the city’s landmarks.
