If someone tells you airdrops don’t work, ask them how credit cards got started. 100M credit cards were dropped in people’s mails before people had to apply for one. Oversimplification, but sometimes direct unsolicited distribution works.

I don't think anyone sais they wouldnt work for user acquisition. What doesnt work is distribution. You can't avoid sybils without proof of personhood
