Rural Rapid Response Network: KEP25 (Kianga Ellis Projects 25) is my latest project and it’s a biggie! A regional network of art spaces from Downeast, Maine to the Catskills, New York that double as community nodes or “stations” in times of local need. I am holding livestream meetings (initially on X but expanding to other platforms- YouTube, Rumble, Instagram) twice a week. Here’s a clip from the first meeting on January 16, 2025! While the immediate objective is to activate the RRRN over the course of 2025 with a few spaces across the Northeast, there’s an opportunity for us to also think about long term solutions for our states’ chronic infrastructure problems. What do we see as key drivers of flourishing over the next 25 years? How do our communities look in 2050 if our wildest dreams came true?
