happy birthday to me i guess
i've been through a lot this past year, from disappointments, to failures, to doubts, to illnesses but i'm glad i get to celebrate another year on this blue rock we call a home     
i've learnt a lot from this year that has helped me grow in ways i did not expect but the biggest lesson i've learnt is to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. for most of us our biggest obstacle isn't some uncontrollable force of nature or some social or economic dynamic but in fact it's ourselves. a lot of us get in our own way when it comes to achieving success from deliberately avoiding the hard things in favour of the easy things, to indulging in habits that benefit us in no shape or form.
success doesn't happen in a day but it happens when you make the best use of your days.
i pray that we all get out of our own way and achieve our own version of success.
