Man, I’m dying seeing all these techno/crypto bros drunk on their own delusions, walking around with these god complexes. It’s not even what they say, it’s their messianic tone like they’ve received some divine code.

Hundreds of powerful (and fully biased) men convinced they’re the architects of a “better world,” as if the rest of us are just waiting for their grand design.

But the reality is that guys like Brian Armstrong are pathetic, nothing more than fragile egos wrapped in Silicon Valley cosplay, strutting around with delusions of grandeur and zero self-awareness. And zero knowledge of how the rest of the world works, needs or wishes.

It’s also funny that he calls it the “Gattaca stack” when the Gattaca film was a critique of exactly what he is proposing.

The real decision we need to make is whether we want to move closer to the dystopias of Gattaca or Brave New World, or toward something more like The Island (Huxley).

And let’s not forget that he has an agenda. He’s pushing for these science developments not for the common good, but to make you more productive and slaved for his corporations:
