While I’m still at the dawn of my understanding of web3, I know one of the core tenets are about trust, 

or rather, operating within a trust-less system

So, funny thing: i was reading Jane Jacobs in Systems of Survival where one of the characters did a bank transaction in Zurich, and suddenly got red-pilled “about the web of trust upon which so much business depends”

I wonder how far back in time we can go and still find web3 patterns
