Biggest barrier to real estate RWA is off chain titling. Could take decades to overcome in US (some US counties don’t even have digital records 😳)

No need to wait for counties to go onchain. You can “lock” traditional title at the county and go onchain with tokenized title. We’ve done it a few hundreds time across several states… long way to get millions of properties onchain but you gotta start somewhere!

Interesting. What happens with liens and/or judgements?

Any existing lien has to be removed prior to on-ramp. Then locked in a trust instrument that doesn’t allow for voluntary liens at the county. Title is monitored and involuntary lien is detected and flags the token onchain.

Copy. Basically wrapping a wholly-owned asset in an LLC/SPV?

Correct but we use a Trust instead of an LLC. Check the original post for more details or help.fabrica.land
