Fun fact - Illia and Alex (the founders of near.org) had an AI company and they pivoted to Blockchain. Another fun fact - Illia worked at Google and was one of the original authors of the seminal paper which gave rise to all the LLM's that we see today like Chatgpt.

Using it for what? I think they have the second most or possibly the most developers apparently. You can't really look at commits since they now have a their own decentralized gitbut
