I've decided to remove the allowance boost based on your $farther balance. Integrating it without counteracting more important variables is too challenging. The good news is this will make allowance calculations more meritocratic. 🤝

So my allowance is going back down so what’s the incentive of having a higher balance then? And what are the important variable you speak of ? All these tweaking seems detrimental IMO

It won't go down because allowance is primarily based on what your allowance was the day before. Its designed that way so if you are too busy to tip or forget for a few days, your allowance doesn't dramatically plummet.

But that also means inequalities can compound, which the $farther balance boost exacerbated.

I'm working on a completely new system that I think will be much better.

@deftony My bad I shouldn't have promised it won't go down. It can always decrease due to more tippers becoming eligible, which seems to be what happened today.

That’s fine I don’t want to have 20k on allowance that be unbearable to put to zero so I am fine where I am at giving it to non tippers
