Waterfall of the Bride, Peru  

According to legend, a couple was torn by family rivalry. On their wedding day, the bride's father killed the groom. Heartbroken, the bride asked Mother Nature to turn her into a waterfall, a symbol of her eternal love.

The Swords in Rock, or Sverd i Fjell, in Stavanger, Norway, are a monument commemorating the Battle of Hafrsfjord in 872, when Harald Fairhair unified Norway. The three bronze swords, each about 10 meters tall, are embedded in the rock near Hafrsfjord. The monument was designed by Fritz Røed and unveiled in 1983 by King Olav V.
