Damn retouching takes so much time, it’s such a task when you shoot portraits. How many photos do you often edit from one shoot?

i don't know much about photographers' terms, but retouching is when an ordinary photo is made into a professional-perfect shot, right?

Yes, in portraits basically retouching skin and spots which are not fitting the photos.
