could you imagine 5 years ago that most of the internet searches would not happen on google? nowadays with tiktok, yt, ddg, ai — does it feel more feasible? do you now think that in 15 years google is likely not to be the search engine of choice? this is the power of futuristic predictions few can imagine future

if Tiktok and other tools switched algorithm to showing irrelevant search results (where you don’t find answers), folks will inevitably move to wherever they can (next big thing?)

old SEO guidelines screwed over search results. One of the most annoying experiences in recent years has been sitting through Google search results. I enjoy tiktok better because I’m able to find relevant content so much faster.

imo more likely that the whole concept of "search engine" becomes antiquated or morphs into something that fulfills the same basic need but takes on a totally different form factor
