"Tap The Rock" is a metaphor ingrained in my soul from my football days at Villanova. It comes from the parable of the stone cutter. The stone cutter went out and tapped the rock every single day, but the rock would not break. Every day, the stone cutter continued to tap the rock. Tap. Tap. Tap. Until finally, one day, the rock broke. As the parable is told, it was not the stone cutter's last tap that caused the rock to break, but the thousands of taps coming before it. "Tap The Rock" is a metaphor for persistence. Things may not happen the first time, but don't quit. Stay with it. Persevere. In time, through it all, the rock will break.
