After Golan Heights, the latest landgrab of Israel in Syria is Mount Hermon. It's the highest peak in the country and only 40km from Damascus.

Say what you want about Assad, but the new Al Qaeda leaders of Syria seem a lot more sympathetic to land grabs of US allies (Israel & Turkey).

I think until now it’s been a celebration because of what has ended - not necessarily of what’s coming next. Many loved ones have been reunited.

Concerning the future I am worried, for the entirety of Syrians and especially the Kurds.

Anyway, I do hope the skeptics including me will be proven wrong 🙏🏼

This. I understand the Assad dynasty has caused a lot of harm to the Syrian people but I have no clue how the rebels could possibly be better for them.
