Swastika Night by Katharine Burdekin review: 4.75 would give 5 stars if the ending didn't feel so rushed. kept thinking of Dune while i was reading this. Alfred is basically Paul Atreides in many aspects. āļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast

Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher review: another eerie fantasy easy read by T. Kingfisher. I've decided this is another one of my new fav authors actually. we need some eerie fantasy stuff with little to no romance every once in a while. āļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast

I find ratings very useful for both as the one leaving the ratings and the one looking for reviews from other readers. sometimes ratings can convey more than the written reviews themselves imo.

Maurice by E M Forster review: one of the best queer literature of all time. features so many still relevant points to the lives of queer people today. makes you wonder if there's such a thing as "a Happier Year." āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast

Dune (Movie Tie-In) by Frank Herbert review: 4.5/5. heavy plot with heavy vibes. this first book is much better as a book than a movie. love how detailed yet vague this book is at the same time. this just illustrates how messy human beings can be so well. āļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast

Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert review: underwhelming compared to Dune. however, this one could turn into the best film adaptation out of the whole series in my opinion. āļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab review: definitely not disappointed. somewhat similar to Gallant in a sense that we don't really know much or enough about anything and it leaves us wishing there was more but still enjoyable. āļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast

a suggestion for the rating system... would be nice and useful if we could have .25 .5 .75 ratings. I've encountered many books that are more than 3 but not quite 4 or more than 4 but not quite 5 šŸ¤“

tried adding what I'm currently reading and it did show up in my library, but only in "all" not in the "in progress" tab. instead, I have the one I marked as completed in the "in progress" as well as "completed." adding books to my "to be read" tab works just fine though.

Boy Parts by ELIZA. CLARK review: dipped into the world of artists and how fast it can all turn rotten. at first i wish there was more to it but then i realized the way it ended just was how it was supposed to be. because life doesn't always give you that grand climax. āļøāļøāļøāļø Submitted from @readcast
