2/ With Sub Accounts, apps on @base can now enjoy:
✅ Fewer wallet popups
✅ Fine-grained spend limits
✅ A universal account experience

3/ These upgrades are powered by @base’s new accounts framework, which integrates:
🔹 Spend Permissions
🔹 Hierarchical account ownership
🔹 A new ERC standard developed by the Base team

4/ Builders can already integrate Smart Wallet Sub Accounts on @base testnet today. 🌐 And they’re coming to mainnet in Q2!

5/ This journey started 6 months ago when @coinbasedev explored Session Keys—temporary signers with limited permissions. They seemed like the perfect solution for:

Subscription payments
Seamless low-value transactions
 Q2. 🚀

6/ But using Session Keys safely in smart contracts posed challenges. Efficiently inspecting call data while minimizing gas costs was complex.

7/ After months of R&D (and even an external audit),@coinbasedev  pivoted towards Smart Wallet Sub Accounts—a more flexible and secure approach. 💡
