The largest waterfall in the world is Angel Falls (Salto Ángel) located in Venezuela. With a height of approximately 979 meters and a continuous drop of 807 meters , it is the highest uninterrupted waterfall on Earth. It was named after Jimmy Angel, a US aviator who first sighted the falls in 1933.
