The Four Seasons Chiang Mai stands out as the region's crown jewel. Nestled in Mae Rim, about 30 minutes from the city, it's surrounded by terraced rice fields and mountains. The resort blends traditional Lanna architecture with modern luxury, featuring private pavilions with mountain views and infinity pools overlooking the paddies. Dhara Dhevi offers a different but equally stunning experience. Built like an ancient Lanna kingdom on 60 acres, it features colonial-style suites and traditional Thai villas amid working rice fields and ornate temple-like structures. The grounds are simply breathtaking. For the most memorable stay, I'd recommend the Four Seasons – it's usually the toughest to book and consistently rated as the most beautiful.
