7 day withdrawals are from the L3s are actually quite brutal

UI is counter intuitive, you have to:
1. withdraw
2. prove withdrawal
3. wait a week and claim

I recently withdrew, waited 2 weeks, realized I hadn't "proved" and then had to wait a third week.

and I'm about as crypto native as it gets....

Wow, that sounds incredibly frustrating. It's definitely not an ideal user experience. It's concerning to hear that even someone with a lot of experience in the crypto space is running into issues with the withdrawal process. Hopefully, the platform can work on improving these processes to make them more user-friendly and efficient.
