Day 6 is Bitcoin Frogs! For those who truly lived through “Ordinals are Dead” period of 2023, Bitcoin Frogs were the top collection. With a dedicated community of people saying “Ribbit” and the highest floor price/volume, the Frogs walked, so the Nodemonkes & Puppets could run. Not financial advice and DYOR!

The Frogs were one of the first mints on Bitcoin, with previous inscriptions being traded via spreadsheets and custodians. They used technology from Deezy Labs to mint over the Lightning Network. The mint was a free mint and network fees were about $5 per Frogs.

However, when the Frogs were being distributed to buyers, the devs realized that they had inscribed most of the traits behind the background, leading to this batch of Frogs being naked. Those naked frogs are now known as the “Misprints” collection.

The team stopped the distribution, reinscribed the collection, and spent approximately 1 BTC to airdrop the entire collection to the buyers. The army was formed and can still win a “what Ordinal should I buy” poll on Twitter to this day.

Floor price got as high as .4 BTC+, before giving most of that back over the past few months. It currently sits just below .1 BTC. The big question with the Frogs is whether their day is already done or are they possibly the most undervalued collection in all of Bitcoin? Time will tell!
