We’ve managed to create a significant number of nounish brands and IPs thanks to Nouns' cc0 nature. However, communicating these brands and Nouns itself can be a bit confusing to the general public, at least in my experience. Why is there a Nouns and a NounsBR? What’s Nouns in Rio? And Mucho Love? The list goes on. Don’t get me wrong, projects and IPs like these are extremely important, and I believe we’re definitely on the right path by creating them. However, I've recently started viewing Nouns in Rio a bit differently. I've begun to see it as a cultural movement. In practice, this means that Nouns in Rio is not an entity or a group, but the expression of a global and decentralized brand in Rio de Janeiro. We are Nouns. We are building Nouns in Rio. How do you all see it? There’s no right or wrong here, just a perspective I’m willing to experiment with in communicating the project. It’s subtle, but I believe it’ll help the audience understand our mission more clearly.

I shared this vision yesterday at the /plazanouns show, and I’m bringing it here for further discussion. You can find out more about Nouns in Rio here 👉 x.com/nounsinrio
