One of the biggest problems with $MOXIE (coin) is that it can be got by people who don't give a shit about the protocol. If they don't care about protocol, any price is good to sell. This is why I can't see the bottom of the well.

I see this every day. And this is reflected in the MOXIE chart, which I will not post.

people fud MOXIE, and earning MOXIE.
people criticizing the protocol, and earning MOXIE.
people mocking those who support the protocol and earning more MOXIE than them.

Most coins, if you want them you have to buy them. If you want to speculate, you have to buy it. You have to put up your money.

$1.06m in October. 
$1.04m in September.

What percentage of that distribution went to people who don't give a shit about protocol? $MOXIE chart will answer the question.

Yes @alemac You're right. But there should be buying pressure too. Don't just reward those who make a frame or say 'You're the best and this is the best channel.' Reward those who are buying and holding as well. There's an easy metric that, for some reason, isn't being used to reward contributions: (Moxies purchased) / (Moxies received as gifts). I've never sold a single Moxie token, and I've purchased 95% of my holdings. But I would like to see that table.

Holders should be rewarded because many of the whales here earn Moxie through influence rather than quality content, draining Moxie by selling as soon as they receive it. This is something that farmer whales exploit. It’s a good idea to consider this, @betashop.eth 

Another point is that to earn with the frame, you need to invest hours and hours of development, but in the end, the earnings aren’t very substantial.
