We successfully hosted Lusaka Unplugged! An IRL event for the Unplugged track where we introduced Zambian artists to NFT's, NFT Platforms, @base and @nouns. We shared with them valuable insights on how to be part of the nouns ecosystem and how to mint their artworks to the base blockchain via @zora-feed. We also helped them set up their smart wallets @coinbase and we had a smaller group of artists meetup in the city of Kitwe, sharing the same information with them. AI was also being discussed and the potential it has for the Zambian creative industry. We had a great meeting and we can't wait to see and share what artists will mint to base for onchain summer! Looking forward to seeing some nouns inspired art!

Throwback to ETHZambezi's Trading Art on the Blockchain Event On May 11, 2024, we hosted an impactful event at Open Window University in Lusaka, introducing Zambian artists to Web3. We guided participants through setting up crypto wallets and Yellow Card accounts, and taught them how to monetize their art on the blockchain. Yellow Card Zambia also presented their services and discussed the benefits of stable coins. We then delved into creating NFTs on Zora, covering the minting process, gas fees, and leveraging platforms like Twitter. All attendees successfully minted their first NFTs, marking their entry into the digital art space. This event was a milestone in empowering Zambian artists with blockchain technology.

We successfully hosted a transformative 8 day workshop aimed at empowering women through coding, AI and blockchain technology. This workshop was a collaboration with Girl Coders Zambia and the Women's History Museum of Zambia. Here’s a recap of this inspiring event! The workshop kicked off with introductory sessions to fundamentals of coding and blockchain technology. Our participants learned about the significance of these skills in today’s digital economy and how they can leverage them to create impactful solutions. Participants were introduced to solidity and were guided through the process of writing, compiling, deploying, and testing smart contracts. This session demystified blockchain technology and provided them with the skills to create their own decentralized applications. Using Python and Gradio, we taught the women how to create a simple web app featuring an AI chatbot. By leveraging the OpenAI API, they were able to see firsthand the potential of AI in enhancing user interactions. @base
