Hard to pin it on just one thing, but there are a few strong signals. Coinbase getting into the S&P 500 brings major credibility to crypto overall. $DEGEN is already the most popular meme coin on Base, and we just had a community call where we shared updates — we're hiring, opening an office this month — things are growing fast. We also partnered with @chainpatrol to protect holders, which might be helping reduce dumps from scammers. Plus, we slashed daily emissions from 5M to 1M earlier this year. That kind of scarcity tends to kick in over time. Most likely, it’s the combo of strong fundamentals, positive momentum, and the broader market turning around. No single cause — just a lot of bullish signals lining up.

by wallet holders we’re #1 — not hype, just real users. we’ve got the largest organic, authentic memecoin community on Base. it’s kinda obvious if you’re actually here.

are you aware of the amount of bots that have been farming $DEGEN since day 1? Spreading it out across thousands of wallets? using number of wallet holders as a metric in crypto is kinda odd, especially when you peel back the curtain and see how wildly inorganic $DEGEN growth has been up to this point. Just my opinion.

Gotta disagree there—$DEGEN’s growth has been entirely organic. We’ve spent $0 on marketing. What we do have is an authentic, vibrant community that’s actually building culture. Show me another memecoin with an active channel on Farcaster, real creators making videos, hats, artwork, tipping like crazy… even legit thinkers jumping into the convo daily. It doesn’t exist. We’re the only one doing it like this.
