The EF Silviculture Society: a loose collection of individuals from outside the Foundation who provide informal counsel to the EF in tending to the (dark or otherwise) forests in the infinite garden of Ethereum, to make sure we sustain the core values of open source, privacy, security and censorship resistance.

The roots of the infinite garden are nourished by soils rich in these core values. Ethereum’s success depends on having talented and committed developers building with these values in mind, and EF’s ethos and work has always been centered around them.

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a non-profit that supports Ethereum. Learn more at ethereum.foundation.

This is an advisory group - not paid, one year term, and EF people (or really anyone who they choose to talk to) can ask them for advice via dedicated channels.

It is an experimental effort to create more channels for builders and other community voices to influence the EF, and in this case the scope is core cypherpunk and regen values. They have already given advice on timely and critical topics such as wallet security.

There will be more initiatives and structures to engage the community on more issues and in more form factors in the future.
