1/ Core Devs have agreed to launch a new testnet, Hoodi, on March 17th to complete Pectra testing. Once successfully forked, the hard fork will be scheduled to go live on mainnet 30+ days later. And Fusaka planning is already up and running in parallel!

2/ Nethermind Ready for Pre-Merge History Expiry Support on May 1st with 1.31 release. Once activated, full nodes will reduce pre-merge storage needed by approximately 50% (down to 320GB from the 700GB needed today)

History-expiry update:
More than 80% of Ethereum full node disk space is occupied by history, so data not needed to validate new blocks. 

With the latest 1.31.* releases, @NethermindEth is fully ready to drop pre-merge history via ERA files.
