Pitcairn Island is one of the most remote settlements in the world. Most of the British Overseas Territory's 35 permanent inhabitants are descendants of the HMS Bounty mutineers. The only way to visit Pitcairn is to fly to Tahiti, fly to Mangareva, then board the MV Silver Supporter for a 32-hour journey by boat.
