Chelsea wouldn’t give him the time of day—said he was all surface, couldn’t go deep. And she wasn’t wrong. Still, he clearly liked her. You could tell he was trying to get her attention, trying to be seen differently. By the end of the trip, he’s reading her books, doing his best to seem thoughtful. Like maybe if he could prove he wasn’t just another shallow guy, she’d see him. But Chelsea’s with Rick. And the look on his face in that final scene—it’s not just disappointment. It’s real loneliness. Like he doesn’t know who he is.
